I recently messaged a friend on LinkedIn around 11 pm on a Sunday night and it made me realize how much doing what you love matters.

And he was actually in another country and messaged me back saying, “Wait, isn’t it Sunday night there? Are you actually still working?”

It then kind of dawned on me that I’ve actually been asked this a couple of times.

“Do you ever not work?”

And the short answer is no. I work all the time.

The extended version to that would be ideal because I actually love what I do.

I don’t know how else to explain it.

To me, if you’re looking forward to Friday or the weekend, you are totally doing the wrong thing and you have to change that.

Likewise, if you dread Mondays you’re in the wrong job as well.

I actually posted something on LinkedIn the other day saying, “Monday should be fun-day!”

And ironically, my Monday was awful.

I pulled my knee and I had things go wrong. But, to me, it’s like that’s a challenge.

Wouldn’t life be boring if everything just went right all the time?

So for me, yes. I work all the time and I love it because I like tackling what sometimes seems like the impossible.
